Sahl Hasheesh is a leisure resort on the Red Sea. The nearby towns are Makadi Bay and Hurghada, which are only a few kilometers away. Sahl Hasheesh primarily features large, newly constructed luxury vacation resorts. The location was officially inaugurated in 2007. Along the bay, spanning a total of 12 km of sandy beach, more vacation resorts and tourist amenities are in the works. Sahl Hasheesh is particularly popular for diving and water sports. A submerged city was specifically constructed near the beach for these activities.
